Dr. William Chin

Dr. William Chin is committed to providing his patients with comprehensive care tailored to unique needs and budgets. He enjoys taking the time to get to know each of his patients, and his good humour helps put everyone at ease. Dr. Chin is approachable and compassionate, and pays attention to the details so you receive the dental experience you deserve.

Dr. Chin has lived in Alberta’s capital region for over a decade. He graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in 2007, and from Case Western Reserve University with his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2012. Dr. Chin is a member of the Alberta Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association. He is an experienced general/family dentistry practitioner, with a background in restorative, implant restoration, cosmetic dentistry, and extractions. He loves keeping his clinical skills current through continuing education and lifelong learning.

Dr. Chin is bilingual, and happy to serve patients in both English and Chinese (Mandarin).

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Chin and his partner, Amanda (Norwood Dental’s Co-Owner and Office Manager!), enjoy Edmonton’s numerous festivals, the local arts scene, and playing video games. He and Amanda are new parents to baby Timothy, born in May 2019.

Amanda Nielsen (Office Manager)

Dr. William Chin’s partner, Amanda, is the General Manager of Norwood Dental Centre. She grew up in Stony Plain, Alberta and has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta and a Project Management Certificate from NAIT. She is currently working on her MBA through Royal Roads University.

Amanda never thought she’d end up married to a dentist – she is an anxious patient who used to dread dental appointments! Because Amanda knows visiting the dentist can be an uncomfortable experience, she is passionate about ensuring Norwood Dental Centre provides a welcoming, positive, and compassionate environment that helps put patients at ease.

Outside of the clinic, Amanda loves taking dance classes, exploring new restaurants, and enjoying life as a new mom to baby Timothy.
